I am a lifelong resident of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls metropolitan area. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, I was employed as a mortgage loan officer for 24 years including ten years as president and co-owner of Legacy Mortgage Company, Inc. Following my lending career, I was a residential real estate appraiser for 4 years. Since 2005, I have been a realtor associate with Garris Robert Realtors, earning the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation in 2009.

I have been married o Barb since 1976. She has been employed at a local hospital since 1987. My son is a teacher in Southern Iowa and my daughter is in management with a grocery store chain in Central Iowa.

I enjoy playing golf and basketball and follow most major professional sports. I follow the athletic teams of the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa.
